So we cared for you. Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well. Surely you remember, brothers and sisters, our toil and hardship; we worked night and day in order not to be a burden to anyone while we preached the gospel of God to you. 1 Thessalonians 2:8-9.
As God continues to use us to reach out to the broken, the needy, the unloved, we must remember that we are to open our arms as well as our Bibles to our beloved friends. Building relationships is important as our God is a God of relationships who we know through a relationship with Jesus.
Our Brother in Christ Bazz shared the message last week. Bazz is a member of our church, co-leader of Real Hope and has a testimony on how Jesus healed him from years of alcohol and cocaine issues. He shared on how keeping his focus on Jesus has changed him and continues to change him, God can do great things with broken heart if we give Him all the pieces.
If people don’t know how much you care then people don’t care how much you know.
We had a few broken hearts in there that night, many hurting souls to attend to. We need to focus our eyes on Him and to love those in pain, They are loved and appreciated by Jesus, so much so that it cost Him His life. Jesus came to heal and to love them and wants a personal relationship with them, it’s our responsibility as christians to tell them of His love and grace.
During this week we were blessed to have Bruce Pearson back to lead the Real Hope ministry. Bruce has been to study biblical theology and has come back for the summer, we have been keeping him in prayer and have missed him a great deal. We also had our brother in Christ Simon delivering the message. He spoke on how people become new creations when they come to know Jesus. He also quoted 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
A church is full of people who have changed changed their lives by following God and are blessed by His grace.
As usual we had someone there for support for anyone with housing related issues and we had Bevan Healthcare with us for those who need medical advice and support. Our clothing team have been busy and we are blessed to meet the needs of our beloved friends. Please continue to pray for them, for changed lives, for needs to be met, for relationships to be built up between us and them and for them to seek Jesus.
God Bless you all.
The Real Hope team.
