Real Hope update.

Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves;  and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. Then Peter answered and said to Jesus, “Lord, it is good for us to be here; if You wish, let us make here three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”

While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their faces and were greatly afraid. But Jesus came and touched them and said, “Arise, and do not be afraid.” When they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only.

Now as they came down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them, saying, “Tell the vision to no one until the Son of Man is risen from the dead.”  Matthew 17:1 – 9

The transfiguration was a vision, a brief glimpse of the true glory of the King. Peter, James and John went up the mountain and was shown something different, so they can come down the mountain and do something different.

When you have a burden for the Lord to reach the ones He loves then you will soon find that He will show you things you can not unsee. These things can either make you more discouraged or more determined, the choice is yours.

As we are continuing with our ministry we are seeing and hearing both good and bad stories from the streets. We have to remain true to our vision of sharing Jesus with them and praying that they repent and seek Him, and accept the hope that He freely offers.

This is the sign that shines outside our church for all to see.

As we are giving you this update please understand that it is not us that is doing this work, it is Jesus who is doing this work through us. If you are going to praise someone for the great things happening in our ministry, give the praise to Him.

We have been having 60 to 80 people in every week, we are still handing out clothes to those in need, sleeping bags to those who need them and we are able to provide places for some of them to sleep. (unfortunately not everyone can be given accommodation, but those who cannot be given a room to rest in for the night, get a sleeping bag) Our clothing and sleeping bags are only made possible by donations and we are very thankful for them, God bless you.  Also EVERYBODY who comes in are shown love and at the end when they have all gone we hold them up in prayer. We are also still working with Bevan Healthcare to give medical support and assistance to those who need it.

For the past few weeks we have been sharing the message of hope that is only found in Jesus, we ask our beloved friends for 5 minutes of their time as they are waiting for the food to be served as we deliver the message.

We are also seeing a few new faces, few new people that we haven’t seen before, yes it is bad that they are in a situation that they need to come to us for a warm meal, social interaction or just to escape from the issues they face. However, it is a good thing, WHY? Because they are hearing the message of Jesus.

Our Friday morning breakfasts are going strong as well, the conversations we are having are great (and yes, sometimes challenging) but above all else we need you to keep praying for this ministry folk, bring this to the Lord. 1 John 5:14-15 says Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

We always pray the night out at the end and we are thankful to God for His provision, we are also thankful to you people for keeping us in prayer, we couldn’t do this without Jesus and without prayer.  Please continue to pray for these people, pray for salvation, for changed lives and pray for the ones that come to church on Sundays to hear the sermon.
God Bless you all.
