A new season of Real Hope.

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. Isaiah 43:19

We are using this as our yearly verse in our church, it signifies the changes that are taking place and that our God is faithful in His vision for us. Seeing as we are entering a new season of Real Hope it seems appropriate to use this verse to start our new blog.

As we start our new season we are joined by a new Leader. His name is Adam and he has been a member of our church congregation for a number of years. He previously worked for Teen Challenge which helps those overcome their struggles with addiction, they are a christian based organisation and Jesus is using them as they bring those poor souls to Him.

We started our Wednesday evening and Friday morning this week by opening up in prayer, we then opened our doors and our hearts to our beloved friends. It was great to see so many familiar faces and some new ones, it is bad because of some of the situations that we hear of but praise be to God that they are around christians who show them the love and respect that they deserve.

We are also joined by the usual organisations that provide practical support such as housing and health care. We are blessed to have these people working with us to help support our beloved friends.

When Jesus told Peter to “feed my sheep” in John 21 he was speaking about so much more than providing food, he was talking about denoting a continual action of caring, tending and feeding the sheep that a shepherd would. So we are called to care for who we meet, share love and break bread with those who are hungry. Love those who feel unloved and pray with those who need it, these are the people Jesus came for.
So we thank you for your continued interest and support in our ministry. Please keep us and our beloved friends in your prayers and show love to those who are struggling and hurting, one positive word and emotion can have great outcomes.
God Bless you all.
The Real Hope team.
